Happy Thanksgiving!

We had our feast today at lunch. We enjoyed Lil Smokies, cheese, crackers, fruit, cornbread, and pumpkin pie! Everyone was dressed in vests and headdresses that we made yesterday. During the month of November we studied the Pilgrims and Native Americans. We wrote journals, letters and even two turkey stories. One of our stories was about what we are thankful for. I just want to say that I am VERY thankful for all of my wonderful students and their families. We are able to do things like our feast because of our amazing Kaufman families. Thank you to all the moms, dads, grandparents and friends who help make our events so memorable. I hope you all have a very relaxing Thanksgiving. Enjoy the slide show!

We won!

A few weeks ago there was a contest in the cafeteria to see who could eat the most servings of fruits and vegetables in a week. One of my awesome students turned in their paper and won! We received a beautiful fruit basket and we will be getting shirts! Here we are with our fruit basket! I took it all home, cut it up and we will be enjoying it very soon!

Scarecrow Day 2009

We had so much fun on Scarecrow Day. We started the day with a parade through the halls of Kaufman. Then we had to take care of some business, a spelling test, then it was on to our fall fun day stations. We played Bingo, Scarecrow Math, musical chairs, Pumpkin O Pumpkin, pumpkin toss and did some bat art. The cupcakes at lunch we so delicious! Thanks to everyone who helped out with this event! We had a great day!
