Goo!!

Yesterday in science we did an experiment and made Goo! We talked about how at first it was a liquid and then when I came around and added the other solution it became a solid. We also discussed how this was a irreversible change, we can't go back to a liquid. They had a blast making it and of course playing with it. I apologize for only having pictures of one class.

Graphing

Everyday in math we have been doing some type of graphing activity, whether its looking at and discussing a graph or making our own. The past two weeks we've been creating our own graphs. The green graphs are picture graphs we created about our Favorite Cookies. The yellow graphs are bar graphs. Both classes came up with their own ideas of what to graph. My homeroom class chose to graph their Favorite Video Game and my switch class chose to graph their Favorite Ice Cream flavor. After we created the graphs we came up with questions to ask and discussed our findings. Next week they will work with a partner to come up with their own graphing topic, they will poll the class and then make their graph. We will be graphing kings and queens by the end of second grade! Check out our graphs below!!
