Science Lesson - The Button Box

We started our work this week on matter with a lesson called The Button Box. We read a book and then looked at some buttons we had and discussed their properties. We discussed how they can be sorted by color, size, shape, texture, how many holes it has, and so on. Then we paired up and sorted our own buttons. Here are some pictures of everyone hard at work.

I am so excited to welcome you to my class. I will be your math, science and social studies teacher and Mrs. Adams will be your reading, language and spelling teacher. We have so many exciting things planned for this school year that we can't wait to share with you. Don't forget that Thursday, August 19th from 3:30-5:30 is Meet the Teacher night.
