Easter

We had a fun filled day today. We started our day with business, a spelling test, but then it was all down hill from there. We went outside and did our Humpty Dumpty Egg Drop. Some of the kids prepackaged a raw egg and we threw them off of the equipment to see if they would break. We had about half break and half survive. Then we came in, had a cookie, and did some Easter word finds. Next was specials, then we did our Egg-sploration stations. We measured eggs, looked a raw eggs, weighed them and compared real eggs with plastic eggs. Then after lunch and recess it was finally time for the egg hunt. They had been asking me all day, "When is the egg hunt?" The answer was the same everytime but they kept asking. We were afraid it might rain but thankfully it didn't. They had fun searching for their eggs. They were sure it would be so easy since the eggs had their names on them but when they got out there and saw the sea of eggs they realized it might be a challenge, and it was. Eventually we let them help each other. We had a great day today. Thanks to all the parents for your donations and help! I hope you have a great three day weekend and a wonderful Easter! There are lots of pictures from today so don't forget to look! :)

Here we are with all who participated in the Humpty Dumpty Egg Drop.
And here are our survivors, the rest weren't so lucky.

What will happen to a hard boiled egg if you put it in water, will it float or sink?

What does the inside of a raw egg really look like?
Examining their egg.
We had to take a goofy picture with our bunny teeth. If you look close they all have gummy bunny teeth in. After the picture we ate our teeth! :)
Silly girls!
Too many bunnies!
Where are your eggs?
I've found some of mine!
What a cute basket.
Have fun hunting Easter eggs.
Am I seeing double? They had fun hunting eggs.
We found all of ours!
Enjoying our treats in the room after the egg hunt! Sugar'em up and send'em home! :)
